Footprints Cafe in New York City

There for a surprise birthday party. The menu was small but include different foods for everyone. I had the Rasta Pasta, with a side of fish. And it was delicious! It was also a huge portion so I had leftovers. But it's not the same the next day. It's pretty greasy.

Today's meal was amazing it was the brunch is really really great! The manager Andre knows how to make the singers feel AMAZING thanks for everything Andre. It seems like because the manager is so great it trickles down to the employees who make the diners feel just as amazing

The food is great! The service is good. I love the reggae music. I had the rasta pasta with jerk tenders and a drink from the bar.

They don’t cater to vegans🌱 that want to drink

The food was good, but they forgot to put my small strawberry lemonade in the bag, but gave me a large drink for the mix up.

Delicious food and good service. As its on the beach, the sand flies were worrisome!

Oh my goodness it's a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Food is seasoned to perfection. You must try the macaroni pie. Its just baked macaroni and cheese with a little kick but so worth the extra $6.50. The atmosphere is dim lights calm West Indian music. It's suitable for children it's almost like a Jamaican, Friendly's or Apple Bees

Having been to this location on several occasions I prepared for the same but hoped for different. Needless to say I was let down. My party of 6 waited for half an hour to be seated. Once seated and our appetizers and entrees were ordered our food took almost as long to come out. I'm glad they've started serving corn bread and butter to all guests. Our entrees were brought out one at a time as opposed to together. The stuffed chicken breast was dry and only contained in shrimp. The rest of the food was up to the usual Footprint standard.We were disappointed that soup wasn't on the menu for a Caribbean restaurant. There wasn't anything targeted for the children outside of chicken/fish fingers and french fries.The ONE bathroom on the first floor needs more attention.Our waiter was very attentive however.

Wow! Who would have thought a place like this would be on the Boardwalk? It feels like an upscale restaurant. The lights and mood create an intimate atmosphere. Great for couples and a mature crowd. There is an upstairs area for crowded days (or private parties?).This place is a must go if you are taking your date out for a nice time. I had the Ginger Beer and Curry Chicken Roti. I would do both again.

I ordered from door dash tonight & I guess because the store was about to close they prepared me the nastiest dry food ever. I call the location back & there closed. Called the Flatbush location, a rude guess answers the phone & everything you ask him his response was I DON’T KNOW... Call the Clarendon location looking for the owner to deal with the matter, after 2 long deep holds as if he was there they came back to say he’s not there try tomorrow. Or try the surf location tomorrow to speak to the many since that is where I ordered it from. To say the least, very distasteful & I will never order from surf again. This deserves not even a 1/2 of star. A waste of money.

If you want to go to a place to feel ignored, you’ve found the right spot. Clearly there is no training once so ever when it comes to customer service. I’m disgusted by the way the employees treat guests by assuming we’ll be understanding of their poor service and communication skills. If there’s a fly in my drink, or a problem with my order; get me a new drink, fix my order. That’s the way GOOD businesses are ran. There shouldn’t have been a negotiation about my experience due to your lack of professionalism and courtesy. Not only did the food take forever, but it was cold, dry and had a bug in it. Putting shame to Jamaican food, and on top of that, terrible quality group of people. Really wish you all would do better, but there’s truly no hope for this sad staff.

I just left toeprints and remembered why I haven't patronized this place in over a year. Horrible service!!! I placed an order and specifically asked questions to ensure my order was complete. 45 minutes later my food arrived and it was incomplete. The hostess' response was very dismissive and extremely rude. I will not be back!!! I'm not even excited about the food and thew it in the trash.

I bought Rasta pasta with oxtail and curry goat large sizes. I was very disappointed when I open it WOW I was shocked for that price so little meat almost nothing just full pan of rice. Oxtail four small pieces and goat couldn't even share with my coworker. Don't recommend and won't buy it again. BTW I was buying there often but somehow less and less meat they start to put.

My husband loves it. The food is really good especially the coconut curried shrimp and salmon, and the seafood curry.

Such a cute and quaint place not to mention the food was delicious. The manager Andre was so kind it was my birthday and he overheard my girlfriend say that and sent over drinks to our table ,I would definitely recommend this place 10×over thank you for your kindness from the 3 ladies from San Francisco 🤗🤗🤗

Quality has been a little off lately. Doesn't taste as well as the Clarendon location anymore. Missing something in the ingredients/preparation of food. Especially Rasta pasta has been off

Food is so delicious. Try oxtail , steak or shrimp pasta . Lots of flavors .One of the best place of Coney Island 🌴pick-up ready time could be shorter !

Great food. Great Caribbean music. You'll be dancing in your seat while eating.

Food and drinks were delicious. Servers were very nice and friendly. Music was a tad loud for lunch time. Service was fairly fast.

Whenever I order from footprints oxtails Mac and cheese is my choice all the time. I love it

Food and drink are always great, but the wait wa as rediculous. And, as nice as the weather was, we didn't have the option to sit outside.

The food was good, the wings needed to be a little more tender and the wait for our food was long. There was a live band playing and there was regular music being played when the band wasn't performing. The Mac and cheese was good, it would have been great if it was warm, that's why I gave it 4 stars.

The bad: The location sucks, parking is hard to find, the customers can be a surprise. Way too much ice in their drinks The good: the food is decent, had the curry snapper and it was very good. Before that I ordered the steamed snapper without okra and was told it’s not going to be good without the okra (umm since when 🤔😐) The ugly: the seats are uncomfortable. The place needs a do over (decor, umm 😐 what decor). Only 1 bathroom 🚽 with a single stall for everyone make and female

Friendly service, totally amazing food! I am a new rasta pasta fan! ... Fish was so delicious! Sauce was perfect! With nowhere to go to the bathroom for me between assignments, they were willing to let me use their bathroom, and it was spotless clean!! If you must be out in this crisis, this place is awesome and safe !

Horrible did not received what I ordered. Called them they put me on hold and then hung up the phone an when I called back no one answered!! Never again food was trash!!!!

Lets start by saying that the food here is amazing and the service is quick and to the point. Footprints give you a full course meal from start to finish with a amazing well put together appetizer dish and many entrée to choice from. I hate to give such a bad rating. I fell in love with this restaurant in the beginning of the year bc it keeps me close to my culture when I don’t wanna cook at times.🇯🇲The staff was so nice when I would do pickup orders than COVID lockdown happened since they’ve been on DoorDash every order I’ve placed an Item was missing or it was some discrepancy with the order. The wait time is 2+ hrs especially in my case my address is soo close it shouldn’t be this way. You order large meals and the portions are small. The meat is very dry. So so long Footprints it was nice knowing you but never again. I gave chance after chance it has been the same service. Back to FLATBUSH I go to support other Caribbean cuisine restaurants.

The food is so good even though its kind of on the expensive side lol. Addicted to the mac and cheese eggrolls with turkey bacon.

Got taken out for my birthday . I swear I haven’t tasted for with so much love and flavor since. By far the best Caribbean restaurant!! Good service great drinks amazing food live dj spinning making great vibes. I live in upper westchester and drive an hour and a half for this . Good job please keep it up!!

Compare to the other Footprints restaurant this location does not measure up at all. I went here 2 Fridays ago in September and was very disappointed. I ordered the wing platter and the only portion on the platter that was hot, was the fried chicken wings. Everything else was room temperature. My fries came late and that was after I told the waitress that I didn't received it. Also, I spent a couple times fanning some sort of fly from my table. I will not be returning to Surf Ave. location.

I like this location better than the one in East Brooklyn! Friendlier staff and quick service. I ordered the garlic shrimp Rasta pasta and I enjoyed it. The corn bread is really good too for starters!

I love the Rasta Pasta with jerk chicken. That’s about the only thing i get from here. I would have given it more stars but the chicken is always over cooked and dry. This time I tried to change it up a bit and got Rasta Pasta with jerk shrimp, but the shrimp wasn’t that great. Tasted a bit weird. Food has a lot of flavor but the meat is always dry. Good for a once in a blue meal

I visit this restaurant from time to time! This is the best place to have a bite. I go there frequently. The meals are excellent, the staff is welcoming and the payment is fair. I enjoy meeting in this restaurant to have a good lunch.

The take out food and drinks were good. We enjoyed.

One of my favorite Caribbean restaurants.Be ready for some table dancing. Music was moving. Wish they offered something more in line for vegetarian or vegan options. It's not on the menu but the Curry Cabbage is to die for make sure you get it with the breadfruit yum yum yum...Just be prepared to wait for your order seems like the truly live by the island mentality nothing is done in a hurry

They make good Rasta Pasta,The chicken soup,Roti,also Chicken Breast stuffed with Shrimp and Spinach mmmm good.

Best rasta pasta and rum punch ever

Not as authentic as it should be . I find the bigger the place the more americanized. The smaller the place your getting all authenticity. No mirrors and dim lighting. You pay more for ambiance and usually loose authenticity because they fool you with booze.

We enjoy eating out. Yesterday we visited this magnificent place which we didn’t know before. We spent a delightful evening there with exceptional food and a professional crew and a professional chef. We put this place in our list and we shall certainly visit again very soon. We highly recommend.

This use to be one of my favorite restaurants. I tolerated terrible service for years just because the food was so good. Today I had the worst food ever from them. I drove from upstate New York for the great food I have always loved and I got food with no flavor whatsoever. The waitress confessed to us that they hired a new cook. They need to fire him immediately. I hope the other locations still have quality food. I have eaten from all footprints cafe locations for years and they have all been consistent with great food. Today the food was horrible and I'm sad to say we will not be returning to this location.
